Gordon Romney

Dr. Gordon Romney is a full Professor of Cyber Security in the Computer Science, Information and Media Systems Department (CSIMS) of the School of Engineering, Technology and Media (SETM) of National University, La Jolla, California. Chief Research Scientist for Cyber Security Institute of San Diego and SETM Security and Network Labs, and Curriculum Architect for the Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance program that is on track for designation by NSA/DHS as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education and CAE-Research. Other Research and professional experience in Cyber Security and Information Assurance include Security Architect (BYU university), e-Commerce (iBoku and iMarkr), Healthcare (ARCANVS; Certification Authority for Healthcare jointly with GTE and Unisys; Medical Economics’ Red Book), Banking (VP of Citibank, member of first ATM design team; President of Bancology, Inc., a processing company for thirty banks), Digital Publishing (Electronic Publisher for Medical Economics), Computer Graphics (U of Utah), Computer Manufacturing (NCR/ADDS, created one of first PC clones), and International Business (Managing Director of a worldwide data service provider; Personal Computer Architect for ACER Corporation, designed ACER’s first PC family). Dr. Romney received a Physics degree from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah.
